Campo Blanco, July 2011 Session, Part [July] Four

Welcome back to Campo Blanco, Part 4
July 4
[the Pre- and Sequel]

I love when people care and are curious and genuinely interested about the moments in my life, and my good friends Hamish and Sophie recently asked me about Campo Blanco... so I thought I would share a little information on the area:

We are blessed to have the opportunity to vacation in the second home of our friends (and family), Aunt Madison, Uncle Tom... and our Cousins, The Herd!

It was The Luke who dubbed this heavenly place... Campo Blanco! The Luke and I loved our stays here! He was given the opportunity of great adventure and time spent with folks he deeply loved. And for me, I also love spending time with The Herd from whence I came! [They fostered me for 9 months!]

Our Aunt Madison shares the home with her brothers and their families, and that's jjust one more reason why the Mom is SO horrified over the Reuf's BITE out of the sofa. Ugh. Sigh. Grimace.

And that's also why I look longingly at The Trolley, wondering if we should board and head home to Houston!!!

It's a Holiday, and so I insist to the Reuf that we accommodate the Mom in ways she might like to spend the day! And high on the Mom's list of things to do is The Family Nap.

Old Girl has been so busy and run a bit ragged [not naming names], so the NAP has the highest priority on her itinerary!

Reufus naps in the kennel and is genuinely ok with it.
I think he's relieved to know that he can't get into trouble there!
I love The Family Nap.
And I'm happy.
Naps under the cool airs... give us just a little more energy to explore later...
The Reuf...

The Both of Us...
The Reuf...

I'm back in the dormitory, celebrating the end of a Special Day. I've spent it in the company of those I love... and it doesn't get any better than that!!!
Stay tuned for more on This Session of Campo Blanco, but for now...

Hi Bleu,

What a wonderful post, thank you for enlightening us on Camp Blanco and the surrounding area. We can certainly see why you all love it so much and why is was one of "The Luke's" favorite places.

We are so glad you are including some photos of "The Luke" in your blog, it is always in our hearts and we know in yours. These were not only happy days for "The Luke" but also for all of you and we know "The Luke" is smiling down and wagging his tail from the Bridge.
He will always be included and his memory should be kept fresh with "The Bleu" & " The Reufus" as they walk in his paw prints.

Well, since My Brother is still at the vets, I will be sure to show him this post when he gets home.

Tail Wags,
Sophie,

We are all sure that Campo Blanco is a very special place for you and the Mom with lots of wonderful memories of time spent there with the Luke.

Mom says nothing wrong with a crate, makes for a happy Mom and a good Reuf. We all love our crares NOW - maybe not when we were young but now we love to go in them for some quiet time.

Campo Blanco is quite magical! How very blessed you are to be in such a beautiful place with those you love. We can tell the time was too short but memory making. And that makes our hearts smile.
