Friday Night Wrights

I just love Friday nights!
After all, they are replete with all the Goodness
of other nights of the week,
but also heavily flavored with
Pristine Joy, Rich Relaxation and just a hint of Abandon!
The sun has now set.
We've eaten as many pecan shells as we can...
The little girl who was visiting next door...
who joyously petted us through and over the fence...
has gone inside. So...

We Wrights have settled in with our bones!
Chew Chew Chew Mmm Mmm Mmm
Mmm Mmm Mmm
And every now and then,
I add a little leg licking in for good measure.
It's the ultimate tease for Reufus...
who has been circling me,
barking intermittently...
because he wants MY bone.
He's a stalker.
And this is what it looks like
when he turns around to the camera real fast!
CAT...errr... DOGFISH!!!
(and very scary... no???)

See Reuf circle. See Reuf stalk.
See Reuf sniff.
Now keep in mind...
He's got HIS OWN bone.
And he's got EVERYWHERE ELSE to be.
He has his own bone... but he wants mine!
It's a little annoying that he wants what I have.
And it's a little fun, too.
I'm not one who guards or protects my stuff.
If he steals it, so be it...
I really don't mind!
No worry!
I say that, but the Mom says otherwise.
She demands that Reuf respects boundaries...
She's adament that he learns to share.

Wish us luck with...
Every Night Wrights!

That's a tough lesson to learn, Bleu. We all want what someone else has too. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Boundries are good, they make for peaceful relationships Bleu! It is good though that you are so kind and might just let the Ruf get your bone! You are the best boy!!!!

Ah, yes, the hu-dad insists on a no stalk rule too. Something about too many of us to referee.

YOu are very kind to let Reuf even come into the area you are chewing at. I find, that I must leave the house and go into the yard to enjoy my bones un=interupted.

Seriously, you would think they would get it.

Looks like the perfect evening. You are lucky you are not stalked by a Daisy, she is relentless and Mom never made her learn boundries. We hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful.

And the little devil looks so innocent laying there on the bed with his bone, too! Bleu, you have a lot of work left to do with that boy. I think that bone looks mighty delicious, though, and I guess I can't blame the pup for trying!

Yesh, it is a good thing to share, yesh, it is - but sometimes, just sometimes, it is fun to have two!

Hamish & Sophie share everything. No growls only looks when one has something the other wants.
Reufus is making great strides, which we are sure is the result of your calm demeanor.
You are having a Friday night just like we are and we could not be happier.

A dog has to stand tall with an adamant Mom laying down the law. Sharing is #1 here at our house, but then we started with a dog who would steal toys from babies. She quit that, but still has to be watched. We are adamant too!

Now I am really sure Reufus and Monty are related! Monty does the same thing to Sam!

Learning to share is a lesson SO MANY need to learn...not just Reufus. By our observation he is WAY ahead of many humans on the learning curve.

Were thinking of you this weekend.

Hello Bleu,

Here with the Piappies, it's quite a challenge to establish who owns what. Sometimes, ownership of stuffies, bones, squeakies can shift from one piappie to the other. We love getting each others playthings.

We do hope that you guys are having a good week.
