Unfortunately, Spa Day was called off on a account of beautiful, clear and cool weather. The water just didn't warm enough for a Sweet Boy to bath without the risk of a chill... so we postponed until tomorrow. It should be a little warmer, a little earlier tomorrow.
It's all good, because I had more time to work on Halloween costume crafts...
We don't have any fun parties to go to this year, but this is Pet Fest weekend in Old Town Spring. GRRH will be there, and there is a fun costume parade and lots of stuff to see and do and eat.
Next weekend, I'm going to the Howl-O-Ween Festival at Bridgeland. GRRH will have a booth there, and Reufus and I will be there to work the crowd...
And you know how I love to work a crowd! Here I am honing my talent with my the Aunt Madison who I love love LOVE!
One great thing about being tall is that my head is the perfect height for people to pet without even realizing their doing it.
Oh... and then there's my patented three point circle, where... when I sense someone tiring of petting me, I make a quick circle, reintroduce myself as if I'm a different dog... and we start over with the loving!
Of course, I can't think about Halloween without thinking of our The Luke. I'm sure from his vantage point in Heaven, he wouldn't mind if I borrowed those cuffs...
Speaking of... Has anyone seen Reufus???
Silly Boy! And he's been a busy one today! Like me, he made the most of this beautiful day. The Mom threw his bowling pin tennis ball (well... what would YOU call it???). She threw it a time or two for me, but she had to hold Reuf by the scruff of his neck in order for me to want to chase it. I'm SO not about competition! We each have a bowling pin, but he always wants mine. He wants it? He can have it!
He does LOVE the retrieve!
...And the down and chew!
Of course, Reuf was soon ready to stop and snack from the Backyard Buffet.
I guess I'm not one to talk, as I harvest... and ok, eat... what's left of the pecan crop. Tasty!
If not for the Dyson dusting and vacuuming fury, it was pretty much a perfect Saturday!
And now... I promised Reufus he could have the final word...
G'Nite Ya'all!!!
